Mutuzo Irene Esther holds a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology and currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Educational, Social, and Organisational Psychology at Makerere University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Uganda. She is also pursuing her PhD research on the topic, ``Usability Context and Adoption of Human Capital Management Systems in Ugandan Public Universities: Application of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology.``

With extensive experience in technology adoption across Africa, Irene has worked with various organisations such as Diwala, Brightermonday, Greenhill Schools, GS Virtual Learning, and the World Wide Universities Network projects on “Responsible and Ethical AI for Future Actions” and “Algorithms for Fair Representation: Debiasing Large Language Models with Culturally-Diverse Datasets”. Her work has given her deep insights into the cultural, individual, and environmental factors that influence technology adoption in Africa. Her long-term vision is to advance research on technology usability in Africa, guiding institutions in the effective implementation of digital solutions while inspiring the next generation of leaders in technology and innovation.
